Michael is back in Africa after a few months. This time it's Guinea on the south coast of West Africa. Orininally he was in Guinea for just one month, but it is now extended with some 3 weeks till the 30th of July.
Beside hamradio, the main issue for his trip is the work for the UN World Food Programme ( WFP )
Michael PA5M will be active on hamradio as 3XY5M, but only in spare time.
As things look right now he will staying in Conakry most of the time. Airline limitations made it impossible to bring big amplifiers and antenna's. But he has proved that 100W and wire antenna's can do a real nice job....so that can't be the problem.

There is an iota island in front of the 3X coast, called 'Isled de Los',AF-051 but Michael will only be on the island Conakry is situated on, and unfortunately that one is not part of the iota program listing.
Michael operating at an earlier assignment in Timor Leste as 4W6AAB.
There is an online log for the first month of his stay in 3X, and will be updated as soon as possible after his return in earlie July. Take in mind that sending logs and photo's is not alway's easy from Africa.
